You control every decision
Northstar does not know your financial position, experience, objectives, leverage, tax circumstances or ability to bear loss. A signal cannot determine whether a trade is suitable for you. You remain solely responsible for whether to trade, position size, order type and risk controls.
Calculator limitations
The optional risk calculator performs user-directed arithmetic in the browser. It does not select an appropriate risk percentage, leverage or position for you, and Northstar does not receive the entered values. Its modeled stop loss is not a guaranteed maximum: exchange margin tiers, mark-price rules, funding, fees, gaps, slippage, open positions and failed stop execution can produce materially different results. Treat an exchange-displayed liquidation price as authoritative over a local estimate.
Loss and liquidation risk
Leverage amplifies gains and losses. Price gaps, thin liquidity, exchange outages, latency and forced liquidation can cause execution materially worse than a displayed level. Losses may exceed the amount you expected to risk depending on the product and venue.
Model and data risk
The engine can be wrong, data can be stale or inaccurate, relationships can change and historical simulations can overfit. A quality score is not a probability or guarantee. Some environments will produce no signals; others may produce clusters of losing signals.
Operational and venue risk
Exchanges may suspend markets, change contract terms, alter funding, suffer cyber incidents or become insolvent. Email may be delayed, filtered or duplicated. Always verify live market conditions directly with your venue.
Exchange-link conflicts
Northstar may receive compensation from exchange links labeled “Paid referral.” That creates a financial incentive to feature the venue and must not be treated as evidence that the exchange is safe, suitable, available or lawful for you. Review custody, solvency, execution, liquidation, jurisdiction and promotional terms independently.
No performance promise
Illustrations, paper results and backtests do not represent actual customer performance. Fees, slippage, funding, taxes and decision latency can materially reduce results. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.
